What QRPrint collects, why, how long files live, and the choices you have as a customer or a tenant.
Last updated 1 October 2026
1. The short version
We collect the minimum needed to run a print job: a name and phone number if you provide them, the files you upload, the print options you choose, and the payment mode and amount. Files are temporary and are deleted when the job is completed or cancelled.
Tenants see the jobs sent to their own QR code. One tenant cannot see another tenant's jobs, files or payments.
2. Information we collect
- Customer details: name and phone number as entered at checkout, the shop's QR token, print options and notes.
- Files: the PDF or image you upload, its size, type and page count. File contents are used only to produce your job.
- Payment records: mode (cash, UPI or online), amount, a reference code and status. Card and bank details are handled by the tenant's payment provider, not by QRPrint.
- Tenant account data: business name, owner name, address, phone, email, staff accounts and pricing.
- Technical data: session cookies, IP address and server logs used for security, debugging and rate limiting.
3. How files are handled
Uploaded files are stored in private storage, reachable only through the platform. They are never public and never indexed by search engines.
When a job is marked printed, cancelled or expires, the file is removed from storage. A job record keeps the file name, page count and amount for the tenant's accounts, but not the document itself.
A tenant may download a file in order to print it. Once downloaded to a shop computer, the copy is outside the platform's control; tenants are expected to delete local copies after printing.
4. Why we use it
- to create, price, queue and complete your print job;
- to show the customer a live status page and the tenant a queue;
- to record payments for the tenant's accounts and the platform's plan billing;
- to secure the service, prevent abuse and diagnose failures;
- to respond to support requests you send us.
5. Sharing
Your job is shared with the tenant whose QR code you scanned — that is the point of the service. We also use infrastructure providers for hosting, database and file storage, which process data on our instructions.
We do not sell personal data. We disclose information only when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the safety and rights of users.
6. Cookies
A signed session cookie keeps tenant and admin users logged in. It is HTTP-only and is not used for advertising. Customer portal visits do not require an account or a persistent cookie.
7. Retention
Files: deleted on completion, cancellation or expiry — whichever comes first. Job metadata and payment records are kept for the tenant's accounting and for legal compliance.
Account data: kept while the workspace is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to resolve disputes and meet tax obligations.
8. Your choices
You can ask the tenant or the platform to delete a job's metadata, correct your details, or explain what is stored. If a file has already been printed and removed, no copy remains on the platform.
Tenant owners can update business details and staff access from the shop panel. Removing a staff account deactivates it immediately.
9. Children
The service is intended for adults. A minor should use it with the involvement of a parent, guardian or the office/school administrator running the tenant.
10. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to the support address on the contact page. We aim to respond within a working week.
