Built at the counter, for the counter.
QRPrint started from a simple observation: at most Indian print shops, the printing is fast and the file transfer is slow. A customer stands at the counter scrolling through WhatsApp to find a PDF, then a pendrive appears, then someone counts pages by hand.
The printer was never the bottleneck. Getting the file to it was. So we moved that step to the customer's phone — and gave the shop a queue that already knows the pages, copies and amount.
The file is a liability
A customer's document should exist for exactly as long as it takes to print. We treat storage as temporary by design, not as an archive.
The shop keeps the money
Print revenue belongs to the counter that owns the paper and the machine. A commission on every page would be a tax on their work.
No app, no account
The person at the counter is often in a hurry and on a mid-range phone. Anything that requires installing an app loses half of them.
Offices are not shops
Cash and walk-ins make no sense in a corporate print room. Approval, departments and a record do. Same engine, different rules.
Three frontends, one engine.
Customer portal
Opens from a QR code. Upload, price, pay, track. No account needed.
Shop & office panel
Queue, printers, price list, QR tools, payments, staff, plan, settings.
Platform admin
Tenants, plans, every job and payment, platform branding and support details.
Under the hood
Next.js App Router on the front, Supabase Postgres and Storage on the back. A JSON-backed demo store is bundled so the whole product can be tried before a database exists.
Made for India
Rates in rupees per page, UPI at the counter, A4/A3/Legal/4×6 paper, and a design that works on a ₹8,000 Android phone on patchy mobile data.
Small on purpose
No enterprise sales layer, no hardware to buy, no lock-in on printers. Setup is measured in minutes because that is the attention a shop owner has.
See the product, not a slide deck.
The demo is the real app with seeded tenants. Place a job and print it.
